Del Norte Public Health Records 50th COVID Death

Another Del Norte County resident has died of COVID-19, bringing the community’s overall death toll to 50, according to the Public Health Branch.
A total of 59 new cases were reported to the Public Health Branch as of Thursday, including eight among the county’s incarcerated population. No one is in the hospital due to COVID as of Thursday.
There are a total of 82 active cases in Del Norte County as of Thursday.
Meanwhile, there are 17 active cases among Pelican Bay State Prison’s inmate population, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s Population COVID-19 Tracking page.
