Del Norte County saw two new COVID-19 cases, the Public Health Branch reported Tuesday.

No new cases were identified among the county's incarcerated population. Three Pelican Bay State Prison inmates have active disease, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's Population COVID-19 Tracking web page.

There are currently 24 active cases in the community, according to the county's COVID-19 Information Hub.

Since the pandemic began last March, there have been a total of 886 COVID-19 cases in Del Norte County and three deaths, according to the county.
