Local Motorcyclist Hospitalized With Major Injuries Following Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 Near Klamath

A 38-year-old man from Klamath was hospitalized with major injuries after his motorcycle collided with an SUV on Highway 101 near Lonesome Road at approximately 5:35 a.m. today.

California Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Brandy Gozalez told the Outpost that the driver was transported by ambulance to Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City.

Neither driver is suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.

The crash temporarily blocked the highway's southbound lane and traffic control was set up in the area. The highway was cleared and fully reopened at 6:26 a.m.
