Driver on 101 Suffers Major Injuries During Collision With Billboard, Power Pole South of Crescent City
From the California Highway Patrol:
On February 20th, 2020, at approximately 1300 hours, a single vehicle traffic collision occurred on United States Highway 101, south of Enderts Beach Road. The International truck was traveling northbound at that location, when the driver lost control and left the roadway. Subsequently, the vehicle overturned, struck a billboard along the southbound shoulder, along with a power pole before coming to rest along the southbound shoulder.
The driver and solo occupant of the vehicle was extricated, sustained major injuries and was transported to Sutter Coast Hospital. The cause of this collision is still under investigation.
