A 33,000-pound semi-truck veered off Highway 199 and crashed into a wooded area near Panther Flat Campground at approximately 9 a.m. today.

Gasquet Fire Chief Nick Karanopulos told the Outpost that the driver reported no injuries as a result of the crash.

The Outpost reached out to the California Highway Patrol this morning to learn what caused the accident but we’ve yet to hear back.
