Chamber officials are seeking theme ideas and grand marshal nominees for this year’s Fourth of July parade.

Theme ideas are due March 15 and grand marshal nominees are April 24. Grand marshal nominees should be those who have displayed outstanding service, pride and commitment throughout the Del Norte community, according to a Crescent City-Del Norte County Chamber of Commerce press release.

Last year’s theme was “Small Towns, Big Hearts.” The grand marshals were Nick and Lisa Rail, who have donated hundreds of musical instruments to Del Norte Unified School District, contributed $180,000 toward the refurbishing of the Crescent Elk Auditorium and is leading the construction of a performing arts center near Del Norte High School.
