CCPD Searching for Attempted Bank Robbery Suspect Near Fairgrounds

Crescent City police officers are searching for a 36-year-old man who allegedly tried to rob Coast Central Credit Union this evening.
From a CCPD Facebook post:
On 9-24-21 at about 1723 hours CCPD Officers and allied agencies responded to Coast Central Credit Union for a report of a robbery in progress. Upon arrival the suspect fled out of the bank and into the wooded area next to the fairgrounds.
During our investigation we have been able to establish probable cause for the arrest of David Schumack (age 36) for 664/211 PC. We are actively searching for the subject behind the fairgrounds at this time.
