From the Del Norte Solid Waste Management Authority:

This is to inform each of you that the Klamath Transfer Station was closed today due to poor air quality.  Our staff did try to open the facility, but upon arrival we determined that it would be best to wait for an hour to see if conditions improved.  At 11 AM, conditions were still unhealthy and we decided that the Klamath Transfer Station would not be open today September 9^th.  

We anticipate that the Gasquet Transfer Station may not be open tomorrow due to probable air quality and fire safety concerns.  Staff will be making that determination later this afternoon.
