Del Norte, Curry County Art Scene: DNACA's Juried Art Show Goes Live, Local Exhibits, Gallery News


Work from local artists will be featured at the Del Norte County Courthouse as part of the Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness's annual juried exhibition.

DNACA’s 29th Annual Juried Art Exhibition
Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness (DNACA) presents their 29th Annual Juried Art Exhibition, at the Del Norte Court House now through January 14, 2021. The exhibit features artists from Del Norte and Curry Counties, and a variety of visual art forms. The court house is located at 450 H St. in Crescent City, and is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays, except for state holidays. Coast Redwoods Art Association
Coast Redwoods Art Association, Crescent Harbor Art Gallery’s November Artist of the Month is Arlene Krogstad. Arlene’s work includes beautiful beach scenes and pictures of Battery Point Lighthouse. The Art Association is also holding their annual Membership Drive. Membership for the 2021 year is $40 for one person or $45 for a family in the same household. The Gallery is located at 140 Marine Way in Crescent City, and is open Tuesday - Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and closed Monday. Face coverings are required. Brian Scott Gallery
Brian Scott Gallery, located at 515 Chetco Ave. in Brookings, showcases more than 25 artists. The November Artist of the Month is Linda Evans. Linda is an award-winning pastel artist who focuses on landscapes/seascapes. The Gallery is open Tuesday - Saturday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. where you can enjoy ocean views from the third-floor patio. Manley Art Center and Gallery
Manley Art Center and Gallery is located at 433 Oak St. in Brookings. The Gallery features a display of heirloom-quality quilts by Annabelle Walkley, and self-portraits from members of the Pelican Bay Art Association. You can also view the portraits at pelicanbayartsassociation.org/gallery-news. The Gallery has a limit of 10 visitors inside the Gallery at one time, due to rules related to the COVID-19 virus, and masks are required whenever social distancing cannot be maintained.
