A hit and run collision early Wednesday has left a Del Norte County Search and Rescue rig undriveable and potentially totalled.

In a Facebook post Thursday, the volunteer organization stated the rig was parked outside a member's home and the driver responsible for the collision fled the scene.

"It is quite sad since we sunk a lot of vehicle grant money into this vehicle over the last year," the post read.
