Transfer Stations Offer Special Hours For Seniors and Others Vulnerable to COVID-19


The Del Norte Solid Waste Management Authority will offer special hours at its transfer stations for those who are vulnerable to COVID-19.

The DNSWMA is asking other customers to avoid its facilities during these hours, according to a news release.

At the Del Norte County Transfer Station on Elk Valley, those hours are 8 a.m.-9 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

At the Klamath Transfer Station those hours are from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Wednesday and Sunday. And in Gasquet, from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Saturday.

The Del Norte Solid Waste Management Authority is an essential public service and will operate its regular hours. However, CRV buy-back services through Hambro WSG are suspended until further notice, according to the report.
