Calls Asking For Donations to CCPD Are A Scam, Chief Says

Please share this status so the information gets out to as many people as possible.
I have received information just now that people are receiving phone calls asking for donations to be made to the Crescent City Police Department. This is a SCAM, do not give out any information to them. No one is currently authorized to be asking for donations to the CCPD. If you receive a phone call like this from someone please write down their phone number and contact my department. DO NOT give out any personal information or bank account information.
