McGuire to Host Wildfire Preparedness Town Hall On Wednesday

SACRAMENTO – To kickoff National Wildfire Preparedness Month, Senate President pro Tempore Mike McGuire (D-North Coast) will be joined by Cal Fire Chief Joe Tyler for his annual virtual Town Hall on Wildfire Preparedness and Prevention this Wednesday, May 8th at 6:30 p.m. 

With summer approaching, Senate Leader McGuire and Chief Joe Tyler will discuss how communities can best prepare for wildfire season. During the town hall, they will also provide an overview of critical investments the State of California has made during the past few years to increase firefighting resources, manage changing landscapes, and better protect at-risk communities.

The town hall is open to the public and will be livestreamed here. We welcome folks to submit questions in advance through the RSVP link or during the event by emailing Senator.McGuire@senate.ca.gov.
