Five Arrested Following Drug Bust On Roy Avenue; Officers Also Seized Stolen Property

From the Crescent City Police Department:

On 5-17-24 the Crescent City Police Department, with assistance from the California Highway Patrol, and CDCR Pelican Bay CRT, served a search warrant in the 2500 block of Roy Avenue.  
During a search of the residence officers located close to a pound of methamphetamine packaged for sales, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, several firearms, and stolen property.
Several stolen tools were located that were identified as being linked to a burglary that occurred on Cushing Avenue that was reported earlier in the morning. Del Norte County Sheriffs Office Deputies were able to seize the items and return them to the owner.

During the incident Sonny Ortman (age 51), was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sales, maintaining a residence for the use and sales of a controlled substance, possession of a loaded firearm while in possession of a controlled substance, felon in possession of a firearm, and being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition.
Jolene Hanson (age 40), was arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance for sales, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  
John Pires (age 47), was arrested for being in possession of drug paraphernalia.  
Katherine Fitzpatrick (age 45), was arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, and maintaining a place for the use and sales of a controlled substance.
Roshieak Stuart (age 34), was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and for being in possession of stolen property.
