From the Crescent City-Del Norte Chamber of Commerce:

Are you ready for the Crescent City/Del Norte Chamber of Commerce 4th of July parade?

The Crescent City/Del Norte Chamber of Commerce 4th of July parade is on Thursday, July 4th! The parade begins at 10 am and winds throughout downtown, starting at the corner of H and 9th, weaving down H Street to 3rd, to K Street, which is the quiet zone, and over to Front Street.

Wear your favorite patriotic outfits and bring your camp chairs to cheer on the over 100 floats and entries as they stream past you. Cow Chip Bingo Deeds will be available for sale during the parade, so if you haven’t already bought your deeds, look for the parade walkers or go to the Cow Chip Bingo tent in Beachfront Park before all the deeds are gone. You can win up to $750 and support our local Soroptimist International of Crescent City.

This year’s Grand Marshals are Judge Bob Cochran and his wife, Debbie Cochran. Judge Cochran has lined up the 4th of July parade since 1979, this being the first time in decades he will be leading the parade versus working it. Be sure to cheer him and Debbie as they pass by, showing how much we all appreciate their dedication through the years to our celebration.

We’d like to thank the following sponsors of the parade for bringing this long-standing Del Norte County tradition to our community.
Advanced Air, Elk Valley Rancheria, Elk Valley Casino, Lucky 7 Casino, Pacific Power, Sutter Coast Health, Tolowa Dee-ni’ Nation, US Bank.

If you want to be in the parade and haven’t registered yet, your deadline is Monday, June 17. Stop by the Chamber of Commerce on Front Street or call 707-464-3174 and we can sign you up over the phone.
