Celebrate Tolowa Culture at Tvm chaa-me' Day
From Redwood National and State Parks, the Redwood Parks Conservancy and the Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation:
Del Norte County — California State Parks North Coast Redwoods District, Redwood National, and Redwood Parks Conservancy will be joining us in celebrating Tvm-chaa-me' Day.
Tvm chaa-me' Day is a special events taking place on Monday, June 17th at Chvn-su’lh-dvn or Jedediah Smith State Park from 10am-2pm. The day will be a celebration of our parks, local Indigenous community, and well-loved watershed. The day will include a Tolowa Culture interpretation presentation, old growth redwood canoe exhibit, Tolowa food demonstration, and information tables.
Parking will be across from the Hiouchi Visitor Center at 1600 US Highway 199, Crescent City, CA. Shuttles are provided to the event location to help transport people from the parking area to the event location.
