OBITUARY: Ronald Ray Radison, 1962-2024
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ronald Ray Radison on June 9, 2024. Ronald was born on May 7, 1962, in Huntington Beach California to John Radison and Jacqueline Kredell; the youngest of three children.
He was raised in Seal Beach California where his love of the water began. Ronald was swimming in the pool and ocean by the age of four, and by age eleven he competed in the ten-mile ocean competition from Seal Beach pier to Huntington Beach pier. Ron soon discovered water polo and was a member of the Seal Beach High School and Golden West College teams.
In 1998, Ronald married Michelle Souza, a mother of four, and another son was born to them.
The family moved to Crescent City, California in 2003, where he quickly became the “Paint Guru” at Home Depot.
Ronald wanted to share his passion for water sports and began coaching youth athletes. He especially enjoyed his time as coach of the Crescent City Sharks Swim Club.
In his retirement he enjoyed refurbishing antique furniture and was an avid gardener. Ron also enjoyed working with vehicles and passed along this passion to his son, Jared.
Ronald will be remembered by his family for many reasons including the way he always loved to connect around the table. No matter what the day brought to him, he loved connecting with family and friends around a meal.
Ron is survived by his wife of 25 years, Michelle; sons, Jared Radison, Niles Montgomery, Travis Lundeen, Chris (Leah) Lundeen and Richie (Anthony) Lundeen-Rose; granddaughters, Sophia and Aubree Lundeen; mother, Jacqueline Kredell; sister, Dawn Radison; and brother, John Radison; as well as nephews, Chasen Radison-Bisnar, Colton Radison-Bisnar and nieces, Savannah Radison-Lees and Kalyn Radison.
Private ceremonies will be held in Seal Beach California where he will be laid to rest near the water that he loved.
