22-Year-Old Arrested In Crescent City After Allegedly Crashing Stolen Porsche Into House

Ogden

A 22-year-old man faces multiple charges, including DUI with death or great bodily injury, after he allegedly led law enforcement on a high speed chase that ended when he crashed a stolen Porsche into a house in Crescent City on Thursday.

California Highway Patrol officers booked Jacob Euen-Burnell Ogden into the Del Norte County Jail on Friday. According to dispatch, the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control at 9th Street and U.S. 101.

According to CHP Officer Brandy Gonzalez, the home Ogden allegedly crashed into was near the site of another collision that involved a truck and a vacant home.

An unidentified victim was in the garage at the time of impact, at about 11:04 p.m. Thursday, Gonzalez told the Wild Rivers Outpost on Monday. She couldn’t specify the nature of the victim’s injuries but said a tip that the suspect was driving a stolen Porsche was accurate.

According to an email the Outpost received, the vehicle had been stolen from Bandon earlier on Thursday.

Ogden faces charges of vehicle theft; DUI with death-bodily injury; evading a peace officer; and theft or extortion involving a motor vehicle. He is being held on $75,000 bail.
