Power is Back On For Most Del Norters Following Outage That Affected Over 21,000 Customers
Most Del Norters should have their electricity back after a transmission interruption caused a power outage that affected 21,755 Pacific Power customers at about 7:47 a.m. Thursday.
The outage affected substations in Cave Junction, Happy Camp, Gasquet and Crescent City, according to utility spokesman, Brandon Zero. Pacific Power was able to restore electricity to most folks by 8:31 a.m., he said, though crews are still at work.
According to Zero, as of 9:38 a.m. about 80 customers were still without electricity.
