Local Nonprofits, Charities Net $68,395 From Wild Rivers Community, Humboldt Area Foundations
From the Humboldt Area Foundation and Wild Rivers Community Foundation:
HAF+WRCF has awarded 63 grants totaling $68,395 to charitable organizations and projects through its annual 2022 Holiday Funding Partnership Grant Program.
Partners of the grant program include Humboldt Health Foundation, the Mel & Grace McLean Foundation, the Smullin Foundation and Providence, Community Health Investment. The grants ensure the holiday season is special for those facing housing and food insecurity.
Each organization received funding for holiday assistance programs that supply food, clothing, and other basic needs to youth, senior, and low-income families in California’s Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties, and Oregon’s Curry County. Grant awards ranged from $500 to $2,000. The grant recipients include:

ABOUT HAF+WRCFHumboldt Area Foundation was established in 1972 and was joined by its affiliate Wild Rivers Community Foundation in 2004. Today, the foundation acts as a single entity that serves Trinity, Del Norte, and Humboldt counties in California, and Curry County, Oregon, as well as the 27 Tribal Nations and Indigenous Territories across this region.
