Brookings' 2nd Saturday Art Walk will be in the downtown area this weekend.

Participating venues include the Manley Art Center, the Brian Scott and Signature Galleries, the Semi Aquatic Gallery, Whimsical Griffin and Ambiance by the Sea, according to the Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness.

The event will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Art Walk
2nd Saturday Art Walk is planned for May 8, from 3 - 5 p.m. at five venues in downtown Brookings. Participating venues include Manley Art Center, Brian Scott and Signatures Galleries, Semi Aquatic Gallery, Whimsical Griffin, and Ambiance by the Sea. All venues are within two blocks of Chetco Avenue between Oak and Center streets. Masks and social distancing are required inside the buildings. Brian Scott Gallery
Brian Scott Gallery, located at 515 Chetco Ave. in Brookings, features Artist of the Month Brian Gibbons. Gibbons paints acrylics that feature oceanscapes, underwater sea life, landscapes, and wooden assemblages of castles and neighborhoods, all with lighting which makes them handy as night lights. You may meet Brian every Thursday from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The Gallery also features 32 other artists, displaying works in watercolors, oils, acrylics, sculpture, jewelry, and more.
