Del Norte Search & Rescue Help Woman Reach Safety at Hidden Beach

Del Norte Search and Rescue volunteers helped a Nebraskan woman find her way out of Hidden Beach safely on Sunday.

From a Del Norte County Sheriff's Office Facebook post:

Thanks to everyone that helped out and always, thanks to the men and women that selflessly volunteer to serve on the DNSO Search and Rescue Team.
Our community is so fortunate to have you.
Around 10:30 AM on May 30 dispatch sent out a call for help to locate a young Nebraskan woman. Search and Rescue met up with a State Park officer to begin the search.
The many other hikers in the area had not seen anyone who matched her description. Dispatch had contact with her through her cell phone and after a period of time her cell phone was pinged south of Hidden Beach.
Two teams of searchers hiked along the rocky shore to reach her. She was located in good condition and was able to hike up to the Hidden Beach trail on her own. She had parked at Lagoon Creek and walked down the beach enjoying the low tide. She did not realize how far she had gone and could not find the trail out.
