Crescent City Man Struck By Car On Northcrest Drive Hospitalized With Major Injuries

On Tuesday, at approximately 9:40 p.m., a major-injury crash occurred on Northcrest Ave., north of Madison Ave. between a Chevrolet Malibu and a pedestrian. 

The pedestrian (a 61-year-old man from Crescent City) was walking westbound across Northcrest Drive, north of Madison Ave., as the Chevrolet Malubu was traveling southbound on Northcrest Drive north of Madison Ave. in the number two lane. 

The front right of the Chevrolet Malibu (driven by 19-year-old Crescent City man Cameron Beneke) collided with the pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered major injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Sutter Coast Hospital by ambulance. The cause of this crash is still under investigation.

Agencies assisting on scene included, CHP, Del Norte County Sheriff’s Department, Crescent City Fire and Rescue and Del Norte Ambulance.
