The Del Norte Solid Waste Management Authority has altered its hours at the Klamath Transfer Center, taking into account the changed schedule for road closures at Last Chance Grade.

The Klamath Transfer Center will be open from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sundays beginning July 7, according to DNSWMA Director Tedd Ward.

Changes to Recology Del Norte's curbside pickup schedule is expected for Klamath as well, Ward said Monday.

Starting July 6, Caltrans will close U.S. 101 at Last Chance Grade from 8 a.m.-noon and from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, the highway will be closed from 8 a.m.-noon, according to a Caltrans District 1 Facebook post.
