Del Norte COVID-19 Update: 13 New Cases Identified

Thirteen new COVID-19 cases were reported to the Del Norte Public Health Branch, officials announced Monday.

The new cases appear to be a significant increase from the three new cases reported on Thursday, according to Del Norte County’s COVID-19 Information Hub. Seven new cases had been reported Wednesday.

The total number of active cases in Del Norte County has also increased from 12 on Wednesday to 14 on Thursday and 22 on Monday, according to the county’s Information Hub.

However there are currently no hospitalizations from COVID-19 and no cases among the county’s incarcerated population, according to the county web page.

Officials are still urging Del Norte County residents to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Clinics are held from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Monday at the Lake Earl Grange Hall on Lake Earl Drive in Fort Dick; from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Del Norte County Fairgrounds; From 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursdays at Redwood Hotel and Casino in Klamath; and from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sundays at El Rinconsito Market, 10700 U.S. 101 in Smith River.
