Caltrans has set a tentative schedule for delays on slide-hampered U.S. 101 at Last Chance Grade.

From a news release Wednesday afternoon:

Our slide response along U.S. 101 at Last Chance Grade south of Crescent City in Del Norte County now has a tentative schedule until further notice. Every day motorists should anticipate approximately two-hour delays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 30-minute delays outside of that time frame.

Please note this plan is subject to change with slide conditions and we will continue to update you here with the latest information.

Crews have been thankful for cooperative weather these last couple of days and which has been beneficial toward our slide removal and prevention efforts. We appreciate their all-hours response while ensuring our safety as we travel.
