Del Norte COVID-19 Update: Nine New Cases Identified

Nine new COVID-19 cases were identified on Wednesday, according to the Del Norte County Public Health Branch.

These make for a total of 38 active cases in Del Norte County, according to the county’s COVID-19 Information Hub. Forty-six new cases were identified between Feb. 3 and Feb. 16, according to Public Health.

One person is hospitalized as of Wednesday.

No new cases were identified among the county's incarcerated population Wednesday. Seven inmates at Pelican Bay State Prison are still positive for COVID-19, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s Population COVID-19 Tracking web page.

A total of 194 cases have been identified among Del Norte County’s incarcerated population since the pandemic began.

Del Norte County has seen a total of 947 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, while four people have died.
