(UPDATE) Highway 199 Closed Due to Overturned Logging Truck West of Gasquet

Highway 199 has been reopened in the area.

Highway 199 is completely closed due to an overturned logging truck west of Gasquet.

According to the California Highway Patrol incident report, the truck overturned at approximately 10:17 a.m., spilling its payload of logs into the roadway.

"Please be patient and expect delays," CHP's Crescent City office shared of Facebook this afternoon.

Crews are on scene actively clearning logs and working to reopen the highway.
