Curry County, Brookings Enter Phase 1 of Oregon's Reopening Roadmap; Status Affects Restaurants, Malls, Gyms and Personal Services
Curry County and the City of Brookings will begin relaxing safety measures put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Both the city and the county will enter Phase 1 of Oregon’s reopening process on Friday, according to a Brookings news release. This phase includes opening restaurants for dining, personal services, malls, gyms and retail stores, according to the news release.
Curry County’s public health officer, Sherrie R. Ward, stated the county received notification from Oregon Governor Kate Brown’s office at about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday that it enter Phase 1 on Friday.
Phase 1 of Oregon's reopening plan includes guidelines for restaurants, personal services, malls, gyms and retail stores.
Curry County has also issued guidelines for lodging facilities in Port Orford, Gold Beach and Brookings.
