Randy Dean Christoffersen was born in Beaumont, California on Nov. 1, 1981. Randy lived in Crescent City for most of his life and passed away at the age of 38 on February 17, 2020 en route to the hospital, due to heart complications.

Randy had a hard childhood and was raised by his grandparents, but really started to blossom when he joined the Fraternal of the Eagles at the Aerie, which used to be here in Crescent City. He started with bingo and then expanded in to Magic the Gathering and other tabletop gaming. From there his love of card games grew, and he eventually became a Level 1 Magic the Gathering judge.

He was known throughout the gaming community for his friendly, helpful demeanor and was always willing to help new players and old alike. Some of his favorite things included: hanging out with friends and family, food, bacon, card games, collecting pigs, movies, bad movies, turtles, dice and other gaming stuff.

Randy is survived by his many friends and family. We will be hosting a Celebration of Life party at Tsunami Games, 260 I Street Crescent City, on Sunday March 8, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. We are doing a potluck. Feel free to stop by anytime to help celebrate his life with us.
