Crescent City Police Department press release:

We have identified and arrested the suspect of the burglary to the Local Boys Surf & Skate shop at 503 L Street. Eric Carrizales (age 24) was taken into custody in the 600 block of Pacific Avenue after being spotted by a member of the Del Norte County Probation Department who witnessed him breaking into a vehicle.

Upon arrival, Crescent City Police Department Officers located the subject and were engaged in a short foot pursuit that was concluded with the teamwork of responding Deputies of the Del Norte County Sheriff's Office.

Excellent teamwork between multiple agencies to get the suspect in custody. The initial burglary is still under investigation and the case will be forwarded this week to the Del Norte County District Attorney for review.
