Three new positive cases were identified Friday, bringing the total number of active COVID-19 cases in Del Norte County to 11, the Public Health Branch reported.

One of the active cases is currently hospitalized while the rest are isolating at home, according to Del Norte County’s COVID-19 information hub.

So far there have been a total of 99 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Del Norte County, according to the public health branch, with a total of three hospitalizations. The new cases are household contacts of known positive cases and had been directed to be tested.

In Del Norte County there have been eight travel-acquired cases, 53 cases traced to a known case and 37 cases attributed to community transmission. The transmission of one case is under investigation, according to the Public Health Branch.
