Del Norte Public Health: Redwood Coast Transit Passengers May Have Been Exposed to COVID-19, Though Risk is Low

Passengers who used the Redwood Coast Transit's blue-green line in Crescent City or who traveled between Front Street and Smith River between Aug. 4 and 12 may have been exposed to COVID-19.

The new case brings the total of active COVID-19 cases to 14, according to the Public Health Branch.

From the Public Health Branch:

Passengers who traveled on either the RCT Blue-Green line in Crescent City or the line from Front Street to Smith River any day between August 4 and August 12 may have been exposed to COVID-19. The positive individual did not have any interactions with others that fall within the guidelines for close contact; therefore the risk to others is low.

However, anyone who traveled this route between these dates should monitor themselves for the following symptoms of COVID-19: Fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, sore throat, muscle aches, headache, loss of smell or taste, nausea and vomiting, or diarrhea. If individuals start experiencing symptoms, they should arrange for testing or contact their primary care provider and remain home.
