From Caltrans District 1:

Soon our nighttime pavement improvements on U.S. Route 199 will move through Hiouchi. While this work has already been in progress, we would like Hiouchi residents to be aware the job will move into town on Monday night. One-way traffic control will be in effect in the area from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. for three nights. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays and residents should anticipate project noise. We realize the delays and noise will be an inconvenience but the end result will be worthwhile.
