Free Dump Day in Klamath Set for Sunday


The Del Norte Solid Waste Managment Authority, Yurok Tribe and Recology are sponsoring this event.

Klamath, Calif. – Caltrans District 1 announced a free large item dump day in Klamath scheduled for Sunday, February 27, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The dump day event is part of the Clean California initiative and a collaboration with the County of Del Norte Solid Waste Management Authority, the Yurok tribe, and Recology.

Residents in the area are encouraged to bring their large, bulky items to the Klamath Transfer Station at Klamath Beach Road. Accepted items include furniture, appliances, tires, and mattresses. All items must be empty. There is a limit of four (4) items per trip.

This is the first of a series of Dump Days planned for Del Norte County. Future events include Saturday, March 12 for the community of Gasquet, as well as Summer 2022 events for Crescent City and Smith River communities.
