Crescent City Police Department press release:

On 2-27-2020 the Crescent City Police Department concluded a collaborative investigation with the Home Depot Asset Protection team. Two arrests were made here at the Crescent City Home Depot Store. Office E. Miller and Chief R. Griffin arrested one store employee and a local contractor on suspicion of burglary, grand theft and conspiracy. The total amount of the investigation accounts for almost 20 percent of the total theft loss for the Home Depot Store here in Crescent City for a year period.

We will not be releasing the names of the subjects involved as this investigation is ongoing and will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.

This was a first step in a collaborative effort to reduce theft of merchandise from the Crescent City Home Depot. We look forward to being able to work with the Asset Protection Team from Home Depot in the future to investigate andy further thefts from the store when evidence is available.
