OBITUARY: Hannah Ione Wilson, 1999-2020

Cherished and beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, girlfriend and friend, Hannah Ione Wilson, 20 years old, of Crescent City, unexpectedly left this world on the morning of January 27, 2020 in Portland, Ore., following complications which arose from a recent diagnosis of leukemia.

Hannah was a lover of the simple pleasures in life: surfing a big wave on a sunny day, taking a road trip with her boyfriend, or finding the perfect stick to throw to her dogs at the river

Hannah was silly, outgoing and free-spirited, but she was also quiet and reflective. Hannah fearlessly wrote about her leukemia experience. Through her words, she gained a community of support and cheerleaders.

When you think about Hannah, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.

Hannah leaves behind her parents Eric Wilson of Crescent City and Krista Wilson of Ashland; brother Eric; grandparents, Eric and Kathy Wilson and Connie Burns; great-grandmother Mavis Knight; boyfriend Joe White; loyal dogs, Gus and Cash; aunts, uncle, cousins and friends. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed.

A Celebration of Life potluck will be held on Feb. 29 at 2 p.m. at the Crescent City Cultural Center. The family requests that guests attend in bright colors, as Hannah would have wished.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made in Hannah’s name to Poy-Wuson Aguilar’s leukemia battle.
