Wild Rivers Community Foundation Announces Grant Opportunities For Local Summer Programs


The Wild Rivers Community Foundation is seeking applicants for its Summer Youth Mini Grants:

Wild Rivers Community Foundation offers grants for summer youth programs in Del Norte and Curry counties

 

Del Norte and Curry County organizations, churches and agencies offering youth recreation and education programs this summer could be eligible for grant funding from the Wild Rivers Community Foundation.

 

The foundation’s 2020 Summer Youth Mini Grants program is offering funding ranging from $500 to $1,000. The deadline to submit applications is 5 p.m. Friday, March 20.

 

Last year the Wild Rivers Community Foundation awarded $18,000 in grants to 23 local organizations that offered summer camps, food and safety training, reading, art, music and theater and language and cultural education. Since its inception in 2004, the grants program has awarded more than $152,000.

 

Past donors include the Brattain Family Trust, Gordon Elwood Foundation, Pacific Power, Patricia D. & William B. Smullin Foundation, R. Baird & Jane Rumiano Family Fund, Redwood Medical Offices, St. Joseph’s Hospital-Humboldt and the California Endowment.

 

Applications are available by website at www.wildriverscf.org/Grants-Scholarships/Grants or at the front desk of the Wild Rivers Community Foundation, 990 Front St., Crescent City.
