Del Norte COVID-19 Update: Eleven New Cases; Information About Vaccinations

Eleven new COVID-19 cases were reported to the Public Health Branch on Tuesday, making for a total of 39 active cases in Del Norte County.

One person is hospitalized currently, according to the Del Norte Public Health Branch.

No new cases have been identified among Del Norte County’s incarcerated population, according to the Public Health Branch. There are currently zero active cases among Pelican Bay State Prison inmates, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Since the pandemic began, Del Norte County has seen a total of 1,149 confirmed COVID-19 cases. There have been a total of 26 hospitalizations and six deaths, according to the the Public Health Branch.

Meanwhile there are several local options for getting the COVID-19 vaccine. The Public Health Branch is hosting Tuesday and Wednesday clinics at the Del Norte County Fairgrounds. For more information, click here or call (707) 951-6679.

Rite-Aid, Safeway and Walgreens pharmacies are also offering vaccines, according to the Public Health Branch.
