Del Norte County COVID-19 Update: Number Of Active Cases Decrease

Though five new COVID-19 cases were reported Tuesday to the Del Norte Public Health Branch, the number of active cases has decreased.

There are currently 26 active cases, according to the county's COVID-19 Information Hub. One person is in the hospital as of Tuesday.

On Monday, there were 52 active coronavirus cases in Del Norte County, according to the Information Hub. Four new cases were reported to Public Health on Monday.

Del Norte County has seen a total of 866 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic.

There have been a total of 185 cases amongst its incarcerated population since the pandemic began, according to the county's web page.

At Pelican Bay State Prison, there are 10 inmates with active COVID-19, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's COVID-19 tracker page.

Twenty residents have been hospitalized in Del Norte County due to COVID-19 and two people have died, according to the COVID-19 Information Hub.
