CCPD Searching For BB/Pellet Gun Wielding Suspect

Crescent City police are searching for a man who is suspected of shooting a BB/pellet gun at people late Monday.

From a CCPD Facebook post:

On 04/05/2021 at about 1700 hours, CCPD Officers were dispatched to the West end of W. 5th Street, for a victim that had been shot with a projectile from a BB/Pellet gun. The victim was then treated at the hospital for their injury. The victim was reportedly shot by the suspect, who was sitting in his parked vehicle.
The suspect/driver was described as a white male adult in his 30’s or 40’s, with red hair/facial hair and glasses. The passenger was described as a younger white male with red hair and glasses. The vehicle was described as a newer silver or gray Dodge Caravan, possibly with a white sticker in the rear window.
Later in the night CCPD Officers were informed by an additional victim that between the 1630 and 1650 hours, an unknown subject shot at her and her two juvenile children with what she suspected to be a BB or pellet gun in about the same location, although none of the victims in that incident were able to see the suspect(s). No one sustained any injuries, but the victims were forced to flee down the beach to escape being hit with projectiles.
Anyone with any information can contact the CCPD at 707-464-2133, or Dispatch at 707-464-4191, and ask to speak to a CCPD Officer. We further request that anyone with security cameras in the area of West 5th and Taylor Street (including surrounding areas) check for any footage that may help us identify the suspect(s) from this incident.
