Human Skull Found in Enderts Beach Area; ' There's Nothing To Indicate There Was Foul Play,' DNSO Sergeant Says

Deputies and Search and Rescue personnel plan to deploy cadaver dogs after a human skull was found in the Enderts Beach area Tuesday afternoon.

A citizen found the skull in the area near Enderts Beach Road and U.S. 101 and called the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office at about 2:45 p.m., DNSO Sgt. Ed Fleshman told the Wild Rivers Outpost on Wednesday. The Del Norte County Search and Rescue team will be investigating the area further “in the next day or so,” Fleshman said.

“Right now we have nothing to indicate that it is foul play,” he said. “There was a skull found in an area that is part of the runoff and we’re trying to figure out how long the skull has been down there. We are currently arranging for cadaver dogs to search the greater area to see if we can get some more answers.”
