from Del Norte County Sheriff’s deputies on Friday.

Deputies apprehended Robert Charles Thornley on the 2000 block of Northcrest Drive at about 5 p.m., Sheriff Erik Apperson told the Wild Rivers Outpost. Thornley was arrested about an hour after the Del Norte County Probation Department warned the public via Facebook that Thornley had been evading law enforcement and was considered dangerous.

Deputies subdued Thornley with a Tazer, Apperson told WRO. According to the probation department, officers with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife assisted.
Thornley is charged with resisting, delaying and obstructing a peace officer, according to the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office Online Information System.
